How a car accident shaped my career.
While finishing up my bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at the State University of New York in Oswego, NY I was in a terrible car accident. This was a rather hard lesson in my own mortality, as I thought like most others that 20-year-olds were supposed to be invincible. The accident also left me in extreme pain from my injuries
I decided to see a Chiropractor in Oswego, and this experience truly changed the direction of my career. On my first visit, I vividly remember my friends carrying me into the office and walking out unaided on my own two feet. The relief was amazing and I was a true believer in the power of chiropractic.
So, after receiving my degree in Chemistry from SUNY, I decided to go on to study Chiropractic at the National Chiropractic College in Chicago (which is now known as the National University of Health Sciences) and graduated in 1993. After which I interned in a large practice in North Palm Beach, Florida and then moved to Albuquerque in 1994, to open my own practice.
